Call your teeth?

I know that cell phones are everywhere, but even I was surprised to find this quote in a BBC article about hyperconnectivity discussions at Davos: "For every desktop computer, there are 10 mobile devices. Around the world, mobile phones outnumber toothbrushes two-to-one."

I popped a breath mint and sat back to think about the implications of that statement. I mean, that’s great for phone apps, but bad for dental hygiene.

So I started searching for a way to integrate the two and, yes, there’s an app for that.

But it’s been banned. Apparently the app suggested that you duct tape your phone to your toothbrush and then located the phone via MobileMe. Why was it banned? Because it might subject the iPhone to liquids. Can’t really argue with that.

Hmmm…what about a waterproof RFID chip? You could just stick it in the glass like your Mom told you to, but where’s the fun in that?
