A Virginia-born plumber turned Harvard MBA, Gerber writes rock anthems and soulful ballads from the gut — raw, honest, and impossible to ignore. His music draws from the towering influence of Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, Billy Joel, Jason Isbell, and Tom Petty, capturing something real that fans across generations keep coming back to.
Old Piano was made the old way — by hand, by love. Every note is performed by human players in the room together, recorded analog at Skywalker Sound Scoring Stage, 2200 Studios (formerly The Record Plant), and PLYRZ Studios with 7x Grammy winner engineer Jim Scott at the helm. No loops, no shortcuts. A full orchestra of extraordinary musicians. Gerber wrote all ten songs and designed and created the album cover himself — three generations at one piano, the song that started it all.
Old Piano was mixed by Jim Scott, a seven-time Grammy winner with seventeen nominations, and mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Pete Lyman at Infrasonic Sound in Nashville. Produced by Noah Luna, it was recorded live with a full band and a 23-piece orchestra — no loops, no samples, no AI. Gerber wrote all ten songs, created the covers and inside sleeves, and designed the package himself. Sixty years in the making, Old Piano is out now on a limited pressing of 500 hand-assembled gatefold LPs.
